Israel’s Flotilla Attack Called For What It Is on MSNBC

We all now know media coverage from around the world collectively condemned Israel’s massacre of the Aid Flotilla headed for Gaza. Every possible organization, from The United Nations to Amnesty International, cried foul and refused to accept any form of reasoning from the Israelis for attacking ships filled with humanitarian aid in international waters.

Although there are those in the American Media who are now more willing to criticize Israel, many factions within still jump to the defense of their longtime ally. It’s a knee jerk reaction, passively conditioned into the mainstream media since the end of WWII, that will take time to transfuse. Regardless, times are changing – now more than ever.

Glenn Greenwald, a former litigator and current writer and contributing editor for Salon.com, represents the turning of the tide in American Media Circles. Watch as he simply destroys the pro Israel interviewer, revealing how bias and illogical his arguments are to anyone who is willing to engage an alternative point of view.

I love how the video the show plays during the conversation is so pro-Israel! Drawing circles around those on the boat confront the soldiers. It is so refeshing to see poeple on American television speak the truth like this Greenwald character!

  2. Scotland Yard says:

The interviewer is so clearly pushing a one-sided view, that he its shameful. All he is doing is operating as an Isareli PR man, Its almost humourous to watch him try to defend an act of piracy being condemnded around the world.

  3. Sir Paul says:

Whether the news anchor is aware of it or not, he is pushing Isreali Propaganda as said by Greenwald. The Ameircan media has been trained to react this way and it will take time, but it is clear times are changing. 20 yrs ago you would never see someone refering to Israelis as terrorists pirates, slwoly killing out Palestinians on American TV. It about Time.

  4. Amir says:

The interviewer is disgustingly bias! Good on Greenwald!

  5. weiner says:

When the mouse dances around in front of the Cat and the Cat then eats it alive, no one is surprised. Did these people actually think Isreal was just going to sit bac and let them dock their boat???

  6. Serverten says:

The attack, no how how out of proportion, was provoked. As the statement above suggest, it should have been expected.

  7. The Joker says:

The Israeli raitionale is that the whole world is agaisnt them, is bais towards them, is even racist towards them, so it doesnt matter what they do. Sort of the Eff-the world forigen policy.

  8. rubbermaid says:

“Putting the Palestinians on a Diet,” is quitea revealing quote! The want to starve them out, turn Gaza in an impoverished, mal- nourished ghetto. End of story. They reapeting the sins are the sins committed against the Jews in WWII.

  9. entitled574 says:

What amazes me most is how bad they make themsleves look, how monstrous they make theselves appear to be, without seemingly no concern of how their image is now officially in the toilet. Virtually the entire world has condemned this attack as was the massacre in Gaza. And they just dont seem to care.
