This past week an American judge accepted what is called a justification defense from a a man on trial for the murder of Dr. George Tiller, who performed late-term abortions. Scott Roeder has entered a defense that his shooting was justified, because in doing so he was saving the lives of unborn children. Many voiced both sympathy and understanding of his actions. This is yet another example of the radical Evangelical Christianity that exists in America. With Pat Roberston’s gem about the devil in Haiti coming just days after this judges decsion, (see next post) its easy to see fundementalist thinking is not just an Eastern phenomena, is alive and well in the West.

This judge says its the case is not going to be about abortion but then accepts this guy saying he did it to stop this guy from doing more abortions! This judge should be disbarred and this bastard should be shot put to death.
A man who can walk up to someone and shoot them in the head, claiming he is doing what God wants is messed up. End of Story. Its not about religion, its not about politics, its about a guy who’s gone off the deep end and cant swim. Lock him up, throw away the key and blame his actions on nothing but the fact he’s a screwball.
This Roeder guy should burn, plain and simple.
